Charade
As performances go
it was passable
but for the star
for whom even I have
on occasion
scattered petals
of abject adoration
forgive the intrusion
of intuition
when observation
is ill controlled
and expansive
beyond the spotlight's intention
pay no attention to
what lies behind the curtain
after all,
sometimes, you get more
than you paid for
when the price of admission
is free
