afterglow
let us tug on this beautiful moment
exhale a breath ribbon tied with sighs
two grins with sin on minds and lips
love had opened our eyes
quashed all doubt
crossed out what's and why's
so we grabbed onto daring and jumped
there was no chute
so i held you tight my drifting feather
it felt like forever as we floated
locked until the orange skies slipped into pookadotted emptiness
nervous anticipation waned the more we laid
so we played and re-played harder
interlaced and stained with want
riddled with impressions from our passionate sessions
taking turns inflicting good pain like rug burns
bite marks sharp and sweet
feels like heart aches after a home cooked meal
all this love hurts
so glad i ate it
i got the itis

the pun in the line "nervous anticipation waned the more we laid". Not many people take jumps for multiple meanings, especially obvious ones like that.
