The Bearded Man
you always came to me
a masked marauder
who stole my soul & heart
you entered with stealth
with your poetry
i didn't even know you came in
nothing was in disarray
just a hint of your scent
lingering on the wind
your heady masculinity
left its impression on my mind
a mixture of Earth & Fire
slowly I found myself drawn
to your intellect
it licked at my nether regions
tickled & excited something
deep within me i thought dead
a being of worth
who would dare to dominate me
fuck, that there was such a man
mystified me
i was drawn even closer
did i mention you're
a devilishly good looking bastard?
the bearded man
who prowls my nights
you revealed your vulnerability to me
in the morning hours
clean cut & open
i couldn't love you more
this human woman
who came down from the heavens
remembers when we lie
among the stars
i see your inner face
& though i know
i will never touch you in the flesh
i hold to what is true
a deep passionate love
that is both beautiful & cruel

Why does it often seem the deep and passionate loves can sometimes be the cruelest? Such a beautifully aching piece, my lovely Dark Angel. You hold to what you know and let the rest go.
So much love for you...
So much love for you...

Awww . . . This is one hell of a write, Brenda.
A poem which covered the joy of recognizing
the masked man as a poet. Even you think you
will never meet in the flesh he left you with so
many memories they will last a . . . lifetime? I
think the answer to that is, yes absolutely yes.

My Beautiful Brenda....they sneak in under the radar without our knowledge...they captivate and take possession and we don't even feel it at the point of entry...how is it possible, yes? To have our souls penetrated so deeply and have it felt to only be gradual? Men like this they have it and I'd bet they don't even know it...they don't even know how integrally weaved they become with our beings....loved this splendid ink my love

reading this reminded me of a passage from a book i've read till its falling apart... the author talks of cruelty iro a protagonist, comparing the same to something wild...
"Like a hind or a summer storm. If a storm blows down your house, or breaks a tree, you don't say the storm was mean. It was cruel. It acted according to its nature and something unfortunately was hurt."
... i think this kind of intense passion is the same.
and the men who stir such passion, such deep rooted devotion can only be as tempestuous as a storm...
i needed to read this tonight
xo
love you beautiful lady
