The Darkness Within
There are days
Where the darkness says
I don't want or need no one.
There are times
I just want to cry
And say "FUCK IT I'M DONE!"
The darkness within
Fills my soul with sin
And self inflicted pain.
There's no light as far as I can see
Now only if the world can just let me be
Before I find myself going completly insane.
My mind is weak
I have now given you a peak
At something that I can't let go.
Sometimes I can hide it well
But only time will tell
If the darkness will take my soul.

I know it's easy for someone who isn't suffering the way the writer is but...My mind is weak ....Then make it stronger. It is a mind and a mind is capable of changing thought in the blink of an eye, even if you have to convince yourself that a lie is the truth, think you are happy for long enough and you will be. :) I have been to the darkest depths of depression and my only way to change it was to think differently and fight. It took a while and a lot of mental energy but I did it. As for the darkness taking your soul, he will if you let him. :( It's your soul,not his..keep it. x

Thanks. I wrote this poem months ago & am in a better place now. It takes time changing the depressed mind but like you said it is possible.
