6: 20:  To Burn The Forest

Excerpt 20 from Journal 6, 'Becoming My True Love'
   - From 'Journals To My True Love, Part 2'

My Love, slash and burn the forest, watch
the life rise in ashen smoke...
Remember the life to let it live on...
Hold the last vestige; my heart, then toss
   it into the flames...
I burn as you do in final glory...
See the rising smoke becoming words to hear...
Let the world hear them as you do...
Your intentions become incinerated as we do...
And my intention is to write of it...
For you are the smoke and the ash, my
   transient one...
And you are the accelerant to my incineration...
The flames are doused only after it is all gone...
And the steam rising becomes a remaining wish...
That it never had to be this way, yet it was...
And it had to be Gods destiny somehow...
The heart is air so it fuels the fire to grow...
Grow in me as I burn and turn to air...
Its all I ever was... And it infiltrates everything...
Including you, My Love...
We are but minute particles on the wind...
Remnants of the forest...
But even remnants have a purpose...
In landing somewhere unknown...
That unknown is whom we really are...
And I never knew you any more than myself...
The air doesn't need to know anything, it just is...
And so are we floating above what remains...
We remain to be seen, and only I ever saw you...
A fire is only remembered by those who witness it...
And only a part of themselves goes up with its smoke...
We lived in the place which burned, so we did too...
And our home disappeared that was our hearts...
My heart is blowing on new cool winds arising...
And we can rise together in this fusion of unknowns...
We can become one to end the unknowing...
How I know you, how I remember you...
And how I relive in ecstatic moments the
   glory of watching you burn...
