Kind of Love
I want the kind of love that I just know. As well as I know my name, as well as I know my address, as well as I know the high school that I graduated from. I want the kind of love that doesn't instill doubt in me or make my heart get a little colder around the edges because my lover keeps me warm. I want the kind of love that keeps me up late nights, smiling, because I am so fortunate to have it. I want the kind of love that becomes the first thing on my mind when I awake. I want the kind of love where when I fall apart, it becomes my cement. I want the kind of forever love that sticks around infinitely like a fossil buried deep under the surface. I want love as genuine and solid as the diamonds of Africa, love as stable as a mountain after a hurricane passes, a love that becomes my reason for laughter, a love that gives me my happily ever after. I want true love.
