Image for the poem RAINBOW POTHOLE

RAINBOW POTHOLE

Pothole in the road
Between me and a grade school
God loves those children so
She made this one I know
With her finger to the pavement
She pressed a heart shaped mold
As a speed bump from Heaven
When rain filled the hole
Mixed with runoff gasoline
On top reflected a sheen
Of a pretty rainbow
Smiling at back at me

Located in the alley between me and St. Paul Academy.
