Acid Rain

78 degrees and sunny
couldn't be a more perfect day
for a Monday

but off to the West, there are dark clouds
just a few, but growing in number
that threaten to cover my world in gloom

the pressure  is quite palpable
the winds gain momentum
as the skies well up

I can't even find safety in my room
as each drop burns its way
down my cheeks
