A Patchwork Heart
A most fragile organ, our most redeeming quality
Shattered as a glass tossed against the wall
Shards scattered about now a hazard
But a few salvageable fragments recovered
Never to be whole again
Let us gather our pieces, laid out like scrap fabric
Join them together in quilted harmony
A kaleidoscope of color and textures
Communal love fills the spaces between
One heart to conquer the dark
-This is dedicated to everyone who is feeling broken, hurt, alone, left behind or any other various forms of despair. I feel you. We all feel you.
