Earthly Gift (edited today)

Dark and humid night
reach for the rose, soft and nectar laden
kiss her petals hear whispered promises
suck sweet and slow buried deep, unfolding,
dream of evening's silken robes,
as reluctant day retreats,
Evening breezes cool the sweating brow
confirmed in the crystal pool
robes disposed and evening comes.
The moon is high, raise the glass
and stay with me . . . . . .
Close my love your skin more soft
than the silken robes . . . .
A skin in love, none more sweet.
Let me taste and see of you,
smell the nectar, oils of Arabi
opals hidden, waiting to be found
pearls about your neck,
no better gift when night is young,
and so are we.There is time, time enough
Your nectar shames the Lily;thighs that rival Venus.
I am Hercules this night my labour  of love
this no dream I am awake and shall remain.
The cushion of your thighs will rest my brow
Your breasts to quench your hands to hold.
The crimson petal of the lake no match.
Take me this night beneath the smiling moon
let us share this earthly gift
more worth than heaven's gate.
Close my love stay close ,soon,
too soon, . . .yet there is time to wait.
In my arms lie still, wait, the tide is rising
Float upon the foaming waves
Hold your breath and me, we shall not drown,
but tossed on the shore shall sleep,
pearls drying on skin more soft than silk
