Forest Fires
The devil knows no name or age
No, the devil doesn't care
He is like a lover that likes to leave right after
In the middle of the night
He'll make you fall in love
Leaving you in indented sheets
Craving for more once the sun rises
He's sneaky that way
The way he flows through your veins like a river
Or creeps into your lungs like a forest fire
So pretty and ruinous
The devil likes to prey on the heartbroken
He makes the fire seem beautiful
When it is overtaking everything in it's path
And makes the rivers seem comely
When it's really a stormy ocean with crashing waves
No the devil won't stop giving you what you want
Until he gets what he wants too
And even when you're dead and gone
He will always find a new lover
Over and Over
No, the devil doesn't care
He is like a lover that likes to leave right after
In the middle of the night
He'll make you fall in love
Leaving you in indented sheets
Craving for more once the sun rises
He's sneaky that way
The way he flows through your veins like a river
Or creeps into your lungs like a forest fire
So pretty and ruinous
The devil likes to prey on the heartbroken
He makes the fire seem beautiful
When it is overtaking everything in it's path
And makes the rivers seem comely
When it's really a stormy ocean with crashing waves
No the devil won't stop giving you what you want
Until he gets what he wants too
And even when you're dead and gone
He will always find a new lover
Over and Over
