Monochrome Memories

Monochrome memories blocked out by the sun
no clear-cut distinction of day or night
faded silhouettes dance across the zenith
of an old black and white

Monochrome memories set me free
release to me her rainbow colored dreams
brighten horizons and blend perceptions
of a painted picturesque scene

Bring to life her luster in a bright
orange-marmalade moon
Let me feel her warmth in a soft
opalescent yellow hue

Carry me through wondrous fields of tall
brown and green flowing grasses
Show me her passion in rich ruby red kisses
and  let me feel her deep sad lonely night time blues

Oh monochrome memories maintain
a locked up   old antique state
for a multicolor future is about
to shine in it's rightful place
