Just another Sonday
Rest child
for no other mother loves you
like I
paused you may find
sleeping eyes and broken heart
with this
life
in such
silence
the brightest moments
shine
yet hurt
utmost
winds bow
east to west
as the very trees
crack
split by indifference
May-apples
bloom
then shorn
the white flower
once present
disappears
by gale and falling rain
Leave me
my bed-time tales
Mother
detractors
sneer, claim them useless
equally deserted
they
play in
the yard of repeat
though it is
not
everything
I am made of
memories
my faithful
elephant
you are fed
how vast
the expansive room
you dwell
to every corner
and hopeless shadow
sleep
until tomorrow
that marrow
that faith
it seems
only I can see
the part
of You
that lives
on
worthwhile
for no other mother loves you
like I
paused you may find
sleeping eyes and broken heart
with this
life
in such
silence
the brightest moments
shine
yet hurt
utmost
winds bow
east to west

I damn near had the little wet stuff in the corner of my eye creeping out reading this. This poem is proof that if we love people, they never truly leave us. They are there on the wind, in our lives, in the corner of the room. She'd of been proud.
Beautiful rememberance set to beautiful words here. Thank you for sharing :)

to remember those bed-time tales
that let you rest in a watched-over place
when the world considered you just another;
real nice...

A heart-felt, toughing tribute....my friend!
Indeed...All those we love, never stray far from us.... somehow, they remain close in ALL those cherished, special memories, and continue to live on--in the things that remind us of them....in quiet moments of recollection....and in our hearts--always....
She was, most assuredly, as blessed, and fortunate, to have You as a son....as you were to have (had) her as your mother,

Fine work, souladareatease. I like how you incorporate nature and the elements in the first stanza then the intimacies of home in the second. And I love the sentiment. My own mother lives on too.

I wouldn't do this the dishonor of breaking it down but your writing is beautiful, this is a wonderful tribute and a prime example of why poetry rocks.

One of those writes where I feel giving a comment fails to do justice to your composition. You constructed many notable poems. This one goes in the group.
