Speak like
Sit like
Act like
Run like
Play like
Fight like
A girl
When these words shoot out of a mouth like bullets to an enemy,
They prove to me what society believes.
To be a girl is to be weak.
To be a girl is to speak when spoken to,
To be a girl is an to be an embarrassment. An embarrassment.
People all around the world are ashamed when their skills are compared to that of a girl’s.
But I am proud of my body, I am proud of myself.
Because if boys could try a little harder, they could fight like girls, too.

I like the spunk of the piece
a couple of comments
the fist line of the second stanza feels clunky
I suggest breaking it after "shoot"
and instead of "a" mouth, society's mouth
then: into its brain
The rest I find golden.
