"To Write Love On Her Arms"

She writes the words slowly, crosses her T's real quiet, dots her I's nicely, constantly wiping the tears off the paper she has taken five years to write.
She feel so much hatred, so much pain, just wants it all to go away, forever hurting inside but no one sees this she is the master of deception and hiding her feelings.
She holds the blade too tight so it hurts her fingers, her arms aren't bare but that's alright because soon no one will know the difference between new and old.
She has parents but they mistreat her, abuse her to nothing, so she no longer feels human she is just an animal and that's not right but she doesn't know any better.
She doesn't have a steady hand but that's okay. she doesn't need a steady hand to die she just needs the sharpness and the determination to do so, which luckily she does.
She is bleeding but no one is there to stop her--except me.

I know this girl, she has long brown hair and fair skin, her eyes are brown, I've waited too long to talk to her and if I don't do something now she will die.
I see that she cut "FUCK UP" into her left forearm, and sliced "LOVE" on her arms, she is bleeding now as I rush over to her and take the cold, old 'friend' from her shaking hand and throw it.
I feel bad for not doing this sooner as I feel the blood dripping and sliding down her arms and onto the white floor.
I hear her whisper, but I don't know what she says, as the red spreads faster and the pain goes deeper into my heart, the guilt almost overwhelming, stinging pain appears in my own arms.
I look down to see I am not holding a little girl, there is a blade strewn across the floor, "FUCK UP" is carved into my left forearm, "LOVE" is written on my arms, I am bleeding, remembering that I am dying.

Don't give up.

We rise from the floor and stand tall, we can prove them wrong, love can change a life, we smile and watch the sun prevail through the clouds.
We are one.

We are okay.

We are safe.

We are love.
