And I Shall Loose My Tongue

You think me cruel
For what you say I've done to you
You think me unkind
For reasons you refuse to define
Retreat behind your walls
Refracting all the battle cries
Cower in your empty halls
Safe inside your veil of lies

Mirror, mirror on the wall
How much longer 'til you fall
With no one there to catch you?

You wield the knife
That cut you so, self inflicted strife
You feel cast aside
Isolation by your foolish pride
How dare you stand before me
Pointing fingers, casting blame
Projection of your false reality
Afraid to face your shame

Throw your tantrum frightened child
Dive into your harsh denial
Will you ever face the truth?

You pass me by
And you toss those eyes
Dagger like blades
From behind darkened shades
Point your nose up to the sky
Pretend we didn't love each other
Play the victim, watch it die
You're the one who couldn't bother

I hope you feel this deep inside
I hope my name keeps you up at night
Maybe then you'll finally face yourself
