Why Every Christian Should Be A Scientist

Or at least an amateur scientist,  a science enthusiast.
For God is a scientist, the Ultimate Scientist,
in that He created the universe (largely) by creating  the LAWS OF SCIENCE
(Physics, etc) upon which the universe  operates.

If Christians have the Spirit of Christ/God,
which is what  Christian doctrine teaches, then an aptitude for science(in some form)
should be the mark of being a Believer --
based on the principle "Like Father, Like Son".
Christ said to the woman at the well,
"God is Spirit and those that worship Him
must worship Him in spirit and in truth"(John 4.24).
Paraphrasing Christ, God is a scientist and those that worship Him must do so via science and truth.

The validity of my words is evidenced  by the fact that the Christian world has  been responsible for the overwhelming majority of all scientific discoveries/breakthroughs/inventions since the Christian Church began 2000 years ago. (Up until recently.)
I'm talking Galileo, Newton, Faraday, Pasteur, Darwin, Wallace, Edwin Hubble, Fr. George LeMaitre, etc, etc, on and on.

Why is that?? Why should Christendom make the absolute "lion's share" of all inventions and discoveries??
(Up until recently, that is.
It's undeniable that apostasy has set in and scientists now are largely secularists, of course.
But that doesn't change the fact that all the great breakthroughs have been made by Christians and Jews (Einstein, of course).)

PS: it may be due in part to the Great Commission.
As Christians journeyed to foreign lands to convert the inhabitants (and conquer their lands),
this may have produced  a copy cat effect in which scientists saw themselves as Columbus-type explorers/discoverers - only in other realms.
