Spring in Bloom
Winter chills over and done
A new harvest has begun
Soft and gentle afternoon showers
Resurrecting seasonal flowers
Daffodils and tulips bloom
Windows open in my room
Leaves returning to the trees
Smelling spring upon the breeze
Honeysuckle scents fill the air
Yellow rapeseed bright with flare
Early hours, birds lively
Longer days, finally
Warmth of sun upon my face
Resting in my garden space
Nature offering a release
Providing solace and a peace
Inspired by The joys of spring competition

"Resurrecting seasonal flowers" ...
... I think the theme of 'resurrection' fits really well in Springtime when apparently 'dead' plants spring to life.

Mel ;
I have been reading your work , every time I see you post , or I make the time ;
I just want to let you know , you are someone I respect here , as a poet , though
I have only been here a short time ;
Why ?
Two main reasons...I have heard your process , through your words , the pain ,
and the determination for the better and best for yourself...
More , you have shown the rare quality of being able to rhyme and flow with
your poetry , in a way that conveys it is in your soul , and not forced...
And *that* is something I understand , and honor in others...
It is a joy to read your words , even when they speak of the more difficult side
of life , you have a way , that brings out the best...
May the Muse be with You...Write On !

Blackwolf,
I truly thank you for taking the time to read my poems and I am honoured by all the lovely things you had to say. I know my poems may not be for everyone as there is often little that is obscure about what I am trying to convey. However, you are correct that I do write from my soul. I appreciate that you sense it. Thank you again for your kind words dear friend. Bless.
