The Desperate Lucifer.
Swallowed me tonight.
Took me home to Galilee
and waited for the pyre a-blaze.
Throw me to the boatman,
no coins upon my eyes.
Tonight stars will fall for you,
with your arms around me as it all crumbles
to ash
there. Quiet, hush now
such a wicked man, as you, allowed his demon to defeat
him.
You swallowed me whole tonight, body and soul
but heart was still not for your feast.
Took me home to Galilee
and waited for the pyre a-blaze.
Throw me to the boatman,
no coins upon my eyes.
Tonight stars will fall for you,
with your arms around me as it all crumbles
to ash
there. Quiet, hush now
such a wicked man, as you, allowed his demon to defeat
him.
You swallowed me whole tonight, body and soul
but heart was still not for your feast.
