Sinking
Hear his name
heart sinks
Picture his face
heart sinks
Read his poems
heart sinks
Watch his updates
heart sinks
See them together
heart sinks
Realise he's forgotten me
heart sinks
Long to contact him
Heart sinks
I'm happy, he is happy
yet my heart still sinks
How many sinks
before I drown...

Learn to swim... there are more fish in the sea. You don't have to be a bottom feeder, too much pressure at the bottom. Come up for air where schools swim...

Thanks JJ for your wise and kind words. Your words certainly cheered me up, especially made me smile because I've just set up an aquarium as my new hobby as it happens, so I totally get what you are saying 👍😁 FC 💜

Thanks FL Yeah agreed I think real is all I know, I'm not good at the arty fancy words kind of poetry. I'm glad that people can relate to what I write though and thanks for reading. FC 💜

FC - Sweetpea, been there, done that..... and I understand. I can only give you this.... look inside you - there is a gem. Hidden. When you find it and see its worth, you will also see that he does not define you. He is not the one who makes you happy. You are! When you find that gem, you have found your super power, and you begin to glow. HUGS!

It is as if your heart is slowly ripped apart. The heart is strong and will rebound when someone exciting enters your life.

Thanks Tim I can't help but to relate to the song by Sia 'elastic heart' but in the lyrics of Celine Dion I'm sure 'My heart will go on 😘😁 FC 💜

It depends on whether or not you're bouncing back to the surface between sinks. Simple but perfect. I think we've all experienced this to some degree. Great write

It isn't the fall that matters so much as the rise. Come up for air each time. Keep breathing.

I know the feeling. You must allow yourself to move forward. It's the only way to ease the pain.
