A love so true
Her dreams so small
Her mind could only imagine
A love so dear.
From afar he watched her grow
Desperately wanting to protect her
Should she stumble and fall
Her lifes journey lead her on a path
Many lessons did she learn
As for love - she continued to yearn.
She began to bloom
He confidently stepped closer
And softly touched her cheek.
She looked into his soft green eyes
And beheld a magnificent world,
Alive only in her dreams.
A love so true,
So deep
And so real
She...

Causing ripples across
The skies

Thunderstorm
Evening slinks in like an old dog.
Clouds drawn over the small town like a warm down comforter
Standing in a field, I watch as the clouds grow heavy
(Like playful lovers cuddling and giggling)
The slightest breeze brushes my cheek
Face turned up to the sky
I fill my lungs with the fresh smell of approaching rain
(As her cheek touches his, she breathes him in)
In the distance the sky faintly lights up
I feel the smile grow on my face
My eyes dance across the skies in anticipation
(Desire stirs within her belly)

"Make a wish"
As evening settles over the valley,
The night sky displays her glittering jewels.
The Scops owl’s distinctive quivering "krrrp” song, echoes between the trees
A bat flits by, filling its belly with flying insects.
Crickets and frogs host their symphony,
While a cool breeze whispers and kisses my cheeks.
Your eyes like green planets dance and twinkle,
Reflecting the warm embers of the camp fire
Your touch burns my cool skin,
Rousing insatiable desire within me

Passion
I lay next to you, drowning in your eyes.
And there is no other place I’d rather be.
Your fingertips brush against my skin
And send shivers running down my spine
I can see myself thru your eyes
All my imperfections disappear
Your lips softly meet mine
And our breathing becomes one
Let me drown in your eyes
Our fingers gently intertwined
Speaking a language of their own
Now our hearts beating as one,
We drown in each other’s eyes
And there is no other place I’d rather be.

"Untitled"
An ocean beautiful and deep
Soft gentle waves lapping at the shore
Reflecting grey, green and specks of gold
As the light dances across each crest
Wave after wave, washing over my soul
Draws me to wade in further
Draws me to quench my thirst
Invites me to let go….. and surrender to its tide
Beneath the surface
A depth so intense
It consumes me
Leaving me breathless
Yet, it breathes life….

What was, and what is.....
Submissive wife
Who am I?
I gave it my all
Right down to my soul
What did it matter?
It was never enough
The day arrived
When I opened that door
Fear stared back at me
But passive I’d be no more
Like a sleeping caterpillar
Internal healing began
I stepped from that shell
Revealing a brand new me
Fragile wings waiting to dry
Spread out, what a splendid array
Each day growing stronger
Creating my own world
Fear, where are you?
Nothing can stop...
Who am I?
I gave it my all
Right down to my soul
What did it matter?

Gallant Knight?
He came as an angel of light
His words encouraging adventure
He was all charm and valour
The Gallant Knight - come to rescue the maiden
Her heart at first guarded
His words like perfume flowed
Soaking into her existence
And she saw him as a king
His gentle words soon had a sting
She flinched…..
He comforted her with a smile
And words smothered with honey, golden and sweet
Reassured she leaned to drink in pleasure
A sharp slice from his sword
Brought her reeling to her knees

I read his words in black and white
His love for me blew my mind
Am I really all he sees me to be
Beautiful rainbows in the night?

To touch - to live
She lay pensively drowning in his green eyes.
It was dark, but she had seen his eyes so many times before.
She recalled the cool hue she was now gazing into.
Flecks of street-light-reflections danced in the corner of his eye as he watched her.
He brushed a strand of hair from her forehead and allowed his fingers to glide across her cheek and chin.
She was mindful of his breath. It was warm and rhythmic.
Her face so close to his that his breath washed over her lips like a gentle wave lapping the shore
Trying not to blink, in case she should wake...

Years it has been
Years it has been since that first day
Years it has been since I first knew
It came as a shock at first,
But delight soon filled my heart
Joy soon turned to concern,
As you could not be found
I remember hearing them say “the embryo is not where it should be”
In my heart… I felt your spirit.
Years it has been since that fateful day
When those cold intruding instruments took you from me
“Your life is at stake” is what they told me
“YOUR life is at stake” was what I cried
It was only a week or two that I had known ...

The Breeze
The room has an old Victorian Style.
Everything in its place, just as it should be.
Deep colours and heavy furniture.
Thick velvet curtains with a delicate lace inner, frame the windows
Shutters tightly locked to safe guard the room.
I cross the thick lush carpet and draw back the curtains
I listen.... apprehensive at first, as I don’t know what’s outside the window.
The softest sound....is it a whisper....laughter perhaps?
I unlatch the window and raise it from its cradle.
A stirring deep inside me... what could this be?...
