The hollow of hearts
Filled with joy
Leaps and soars
And the mouth speaks

The fullness of hearts
Drained in sorrow
Dry and sapless
And the mouth speaks

Oaths and vows
Pledges and promises
The assurance of vanity
When the mouth speaks

Tomorrow is a mystery
Promises begat misery
Weeping and wailing
When the mouth speaks

( Oluronbi is from a Nigerian folktale about a woman who promised her only child to a god- �she was sorry when the god came to collect)

I love this verse. It reminds me of Hannah and Samuel in the Christian Bible. Where she promised God if he gave her a child she would give him unto the LORD all the days of his life.

The essence of this is so forlorn.

I would love to hear the music to this if there's a link?
