Escape
The tears slide down her cheeks,
She tries to take a breath
The thoughts she has
are slowly suffocating her
She cracks
She no longer has a will to survive
She no longer has a will to live
She cries
The only way to escape is with pain
She clenches her fists
She tries to breathe
But the thoughts tightly close around her throat
She tries to stay in control
But it's too late
Her fists rise rapidly through the air
As she beats them against her temples
The old bruises slowly fading
Only to be covered by the new
Her head is pounding
Why won't it stop
It doesn't help
She sinks to her knees
And curls herself into a ball
And sobs laying there powerless
The thoughts get worse
Everything goes black
Somehow she rises to her feet
And slams her head against the wall
Her eyes turn black
Her skin turns green
Her body gives out
Until next time
She didn't do it hard enough
She cries because she is still alive
Maybe she should buy a gun
She wants it all to end
She tries to take a breath
The thoughts she has
are slowly suffocating her
She cracks
She no longer has a will to survive
She no longer has a will to live
She cries
The only way to escape is with pain
She clenches her fists
She tries to breathe
But the thoughts tightly close around her throat
She tries to stay in control
But it's too late
Her fists rise rapidly through the air
As she beats them against her temples
The old bruises slowly fading
Only to be covered by the new
Her head is pounding
Why won't it stop
It doesn't help
She sinks to her knees
And curls herself into a ball
And sobs laying there powerless
The thoughts get worse
Everything goes black
Somehow she rises to her feet
And slams her head against the wall
Her eyes turn black
Her skin turns green
Her body gives out
Until next time
She didn't do it hard enough
She cries because she is still alive
Maybe she should buy a gun
She wants it all to end
