Clouds in her Coffee
She sat sipping
her Coffee, dark clouds rolling
across the universe,
heavy with the scent of rain
the first drops hitting hard
against her windows, followed
by the low rumble of thunder,
lightning crashing through the trees
she lit her candles,
watching the flickers of light,
echoing the flames splintering
the night
she loved the thunder and the rain,
light exploding into her room,
she started counting in between
the booms, they slowly moved away
along with the electricity
humming in the air
