For What It's Worth
This poem was written July 3rd, 2016 at 10:38 on a beach
~
The ocean seemed to suck me in before even skimming past the heels of my feet-
It seemed to to take me away like I knew you never would
like I knew no one could make me feel
I feel like I am on another spectrum
starring at the world enveloped in darkness,
Like everything is whole,
and I am not
like the waves could steal my bones at any moment and I would let them;
Fire works are going off..
and I think about the people setting them
in there 4th of July state of mind
Merica', my man, Merica'
- I Have never wished death upon myself but if it was the ocean to take me from this world at this very second,
I'm not sure it would be so bad
