I’ve got some wisdom trickling down the chain
I am hearing it, embracing it, I ain’t ever going to be the same
Know thyself
Love myself
What an abstract concept
Sit tight, I’am going to spin this for you into a relatable context
I am the only me, stripping naked before the mirror, touching myself, loving myself
This is not a special idea, you are the only you, dive deep into your well, know thyself
Giving myself to every passerby, look at me
I am so likeable, anything you choose, I can be
To my adoring crowd, I am just a “well rounded” individual
That’s how I can fit into all your man made cells
Nah man, I lie, that’s why it trickery
Slight of my hand, I want you to like me, spinning spells, witchery
“Now I am free, free fallin”
I didn’t just loosen my-self imposed chains
I took to the earth and danced in the rain
I accepted myself decided to love who I am
Of my twist and turns, I am my biggest fan
“It’s alright if you like me
It’s alright if you don’t”
It’s alright
Embracing my femme fatal herione
With a battle cry, accepting my inner barbarian
Quoting a lot of Tom Petty
Listening to his funk, caused my spirit to be ready
“Stop walking down my street
Don’t come around here no more
Who did you expect to meet”
And if I disappoint
“Hey, don’t come around here anymore”
I am hearing it, embracing it, I ain’t ever going to be the same
