I can laugh at "The Donald" all the time
and grimace at the contradictions
the inflated ego and such
comedy is on tonight

The circus began with a confederacy of
dunces for the scary thing is
Cruz may truly believe Trump's gab
the second coming of Reagan

Yet as much as I opposed Ronnie
he is angelic in comparison
for the jelly belly man
served servility to foes

Hoping that the termination of
the campaign would moderate
the madness I turned on
the idiot box

To find Trump who as nominee
compared the intelligence gathering
to Nazis declare himself
the champion of such operations

And oh it is amusing to find humor
until one realizes that the operators
behind the public face
are the harbingers of gloom

For the entertainer in the Oval Office
masks the cabinet of horrors
and the epitome of it all
is Mr.Vice President!
