Stuck on 13
I can only wait
there's nothing I can do
they don't understand
just how much I need you
but they're not 13
they're not 13 in my room
Mom says my time will come
and I guess that's true
she says all those good things
honey
they'll come all too soon
but no-one knows
how hard I'm aching
how hard
when I'm sat waiting
just being
13 in my room
Sitting here
feels like forever
and it wont change
how I'm feeling
when they say
you're only
one more
raggedy boy
too old
to amuse
Am I so transparent
when I'm sure
you're so much more
you're all I need now
and they can't hear
these heartbeats
drive me
when our eyes meet
coz they're not 13
13 in my room
Don't they see
how hard I'm aching
how hard it is

I think the above kinda gives it away but it can be anything you want - 13 is a very emotive number, Opheliac.

It's one of those extremely catchy head melodies. I think the story tells itself -altho perhaps I was a tad obscure with it (not a bad thing).

No, I think its obscurity is great as it allows one to interpret it in their own way. Great sense of mystery about it which is captivating and I love that 13 is seen as too young ("my time will come") as well as too old ("too old
to amuse") which shows you can never get anything right; never make people as happy as they expect you to.
