Conflagrant
No matter how far I reach
my fingertips do not touch you.
Yearning arms undulate like flame,
but you are not there -
my phoenix, you lit fire
each feather in your span
released
a cosmos of suns into this newfound night
and I rippled in pain
as you danced away.
my fingertips do not touch you.
Yearning arms undulate like flame,
but you are not there -
my phoenix, you lit fire
each feather in your span
released
a cosmos of suns into this newfound night
and I rippled in pain
as you danced away.
