With lanterns, searching

I ache for you on lonely nights; nights that keep you far from me.
I cry, my heart graceless imbroglio and in your absence
my tears remain hidden from your mordant vision.
They beckon to you from darkest reach.

A vindictive choas stirrs my thoughts, the storm within my flesh ever wanton.
I crave the cruelty of your lips upon my tender skin; it frees me.
When you enter my dreams saturated with tantric rain,
it is my weeping eclipse and it lustrates my languid soul.

Hope is elusive, not a cure, but a luxury for the lonely
and I chase it, like a fool I chase it. It leaves me with nothing
but the painful beating of my own imbrued heart.
My arms remain empty without you to fill them.

Never again will I chase an auric sunrise
and never will the heat of its birth singe my pallid skin,
for I belong to night and moon, I belong to you.
I look down upon trembling hands empty 'neath silvered beams,
I cry - I wait...
