The green man was flashing.
A loud audible beeping sound
could be heard.
All traffic was stationery.
Striding with confidence,
the chicken crossed the road

Astute observation Dave! but hey..if not for the faith in the green flashing man, I'd be dead as a duck crossing the road..in a way we are chicken and chicken can't jaywalk!
