To the one I love the light of my eye and the last face I see at night I write this poem for you. A token of my devotion and a poetic admittance that would fail in existence if deprived of your loving-kindness. For it is your lips, my tender fightriss, so gentle, so ruthless that I long and ache to kiss.

To the one I love I wish I could make this trying time easier for I know you have never felt the burdening strain of distance between hearts. Though there is distance between us now, our dreams pursued and chased, know there is no other woman's gaze that I could think to get lost in but yours.
