Reverence
I loved her before I touched her
before I held her hand
before I knew they’d be an end
a cataclysmic last stand
She rearranged perfection
long held within my mind
we lashed our hearts together
with memories as strong as time
then one afternoon a pinnacle
our love became replete
when I held her slender ankles
in my hands
and kissed the bottoms
of her stockinged feet
before I held her hand
before I knew they’d be an end
a cataclysmic last stand
She rearranged perfection
long held within my mind
we lashed our hearts together
with memories as strong as time
then one afternoon a pinnacle
our love became replete
when I held her slender ankles
in my hands
and kissed the bottoms
of her stockinged feet
