A soldier man adrift at sea
returns again before the next
chapter in his book becomes complete
the corner bar reserves his seat

the barkeep knows his name and face
with welcome voice he knows he's home
they encourage him to always stay
rather than to leave alone

but this young man nods his head
pays his tab and out he goes
waiting for the journey to begin
just how it ends , nobody knows

lived in the moment
forward , and march...
*into the heart of every demon
this soldier plays his part
*with boundless courage we can believe in

this young man, strong and tall
the true hero for us all

your sons, your brothers-
husbands and fathers
history changing significant others

small tokens from those that appreciate
don't justify the sacrifice that's made
