Looks to me as though you are on the right track. Very good. One thing . . . Haiku is always nature inspired . . . Senryu is about everything else.

Hey smg, well I researched it and that was the original info then upon further research it said as long as it's 5,7,5 it would also be a Haiku. I'll go back and research Senryu as well. Thanx so much for the info, read, compliment and advice it's deeply appreciated. Much respect,

lol whenever I read a haiku I count the syllables. I guess most of us do.

Hi Daniel, funny, I counted and recounted the damn things while I wrote it. Someone told me it wasn't a Haiku but a Senryu. Now I have to research that one as well. I got conflicting info when I researched Haiku. I'll figure it out. Thanx so much for the read and comment you know how much I appreciate it. Mad respect and much love,

Someone told me it should be a Senryu. I reseached Haiku and i know it's japenese and supposed to be about nature it also said it could be about anything. I checked around D.U. and found most were about anything. That being said, i had a blast learning and writing it. Mysteriouslady, thanx so much for the read and the compliment you know how much i appreciate both. Much love and mad respect,

there's a free programme on line called "Verse Perfect" I think it's still free - when you use it it gives you your line number and the number of syllables or sillybulls in each line - just stick to a 5 - 7 - 5 formation and do your own thing, you don't have to be a Japanese purist :-)

Hey soxy, I know I researched as well. Haiku isJapense and originialy nature, now anything goes. Here's how I goes,
5 syllables
7syllables
5syllables
In that format. But I must warn you,  when you count out verse and syllables, not only is it addictive, it will give you a serious case of the silliies 😄! So Soxy, you got it if you do give it shot! Much love and mad respect,
