Dragonfly

Silent flutters; a dragonfly glides by
Or maybe a peri, in a wise man's, mind's eye
Enigmatically ethereal, quintessentially sublime
Flitting through moondrops, bathed in rainshine

It muses, in a hover, above the silky surface of an improbable pool
Reflecting the silver luminescence of a rainbow askew
A sparkling crescent of crushed crystals of ice
Aglow from a satellites echoing light

Moondrops and rainshine on a dragonfly's wings
For all that's perceived, is perceived from within
Belief's a pure feeling, not a need or a want
When the entangled tangible/surreal are equiponderant

Wings in a flurry, there's a peri in the rye
Or maybe a dragonfly, if you turn a blind eye
And the sun melts the moon and the rainbow's a cloud
With lingering ground mist, once a pool, now a shroud

Sunshine and raindrops on a dragonfly's wings
From the source of the soul the beguiling begins
'Twas never a peri, for those who were easily led
Looking through blind eyes and not their essence instead
