Christ Said, Born FROM ABOVE, Not Born Again(John 3.3-7).

We read, "Jesus answered [Nicodemus],
'Most assuredly I say unto you unless one is born again,
he can not see the Kingdom of God...Do not marvel
that I said unto you that you must be born again' "(John 3.3-7).

The Greek word ("anothen") translated here as  "again" is translated
as "from above" elsewhere(John 3.31;19.11;James 1.17; 3.15,17).
If we read this word as "from above" here in John 3.3-7, it makes perfect sense.
For He is talking about what is needed in order to "see the Kingdom of God"(John 3.3).
When does a person "see the Kingdom of God [heaven] ?" At death, of course.
Christ is simply saying we have to die in order to go to heaven.

When He says "You must be born from above," He is describing what? DYING.
For at death the soul comes out of the head.
Why, the head? Because your MIND is in your brain.
When you die, the mind comes up out of the brain.
And since the soul is fairly synonymous with the mind,
it too, comes forth from where - at death?? The head !!!
Since the head is above the rest of the body,
this exit can be describes as "from above."
When you are born physically, you are born from below, literally.
For the uterus and birth canal are where?
BELOW the torso of the body.
Contrary-wise, the head is above the torso of the body.

Christ goes on to explain what he is talking about.
He describes literal birth as "of water..of the flesh"(John 3.5-6).
Whereas the birth "from above" is "of the Spirit"(3.5-6).
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh. [While]
that which is born of the Spirit is spirit"(3.6).
When you die, your spirit leaves your body.
(With the help of the Spirit, ie, God).
That is clearly what is happening in verse 6.

A better description follows in verse 8:
"You can not tell where [the wind] comes from or where it goes.
So too with everyone born of the Spirit."
Like the wind is invisible, so too our ghosts or spirits
are not visible.to earthly eyes.
Lastly, Christ goes on to say that these are "earthly things"
that He is talking about(John 3.12).
That is certainly true - if he is dealing with death, like I claim He is.

I shared these ideas at a Bible Study on John 3, recently.
The Pastor, being seminary trained (or should I say, seminary-ruined),
Naturally was turned off.
The question is are we born from the head at death.
The Pastor was right to say that that is the issue.
He said something like, there's no evidence for it.
Probably because that's not what he was taught at the seminary.
Or should i say cemetery. For seminaries can be cemeteries of the mind.
