SOJOURNED SOULS (co-written by Nephele)
'Neath willows redolent of silken tress
We lay, whereupon the moon spites day
Like an auspice of its penumbra, pressed
As we could watch the stars forever wane
Through bewitched eyes and smoke softened edges
Dispensing the grace of endless skies
We savor the aura of contentment, enraptured
In reflections of its isolated night
These veins, like webs upon the bone
These boughs that lust of the marrow
And these reveries that turn flesh to stone
Somehow flushed my deluge, shallow
And I rose by the dawn of your sovereign embrace
Tasting essence of amber within
This omnipresent darkness that interlaced
Glinting consciousness upon bare skin
We are enrobed within each other yet
Like aegis, from frost of Autumn morn
I seek no refuge from myrrhic scent
In our wake, the mist became of storm
We trace along winds of ambrosial reign
Capturing sweet euphony adrift
Exhalations unveiling in waves, ascending
Earthly desire once fantasized with
These irides that bridge between us
Sculpt azure glades from out the black
And reflect, o’ lavishly, the dust
Of ages, your carmine sought to slack
Amidst spirals glistening auroral shade
Inbreathed with organic passion
Our breath of arousal the wilderness untamed
Silhouetted in emerald devotion
In solitude, we gazed at poignant sky
Imagined ourselves as we could fly
Meld together into the night
From whence our fever came alive
Our sojourned souls that twine throughout
Set ablaze the rain-soaked earth
Imbruing beauty in sanguine flame
The embers etched upon our being
