Babylon II (not a sequel?)
(collab of Shaman and Prophet)
The second Babylonian Empire
was strong, so strong in fact,
that it was responsible for
destroying its own twin towers,
when it attempted to dominate
the entire world for
resources, oil, & land ---
It had to terrorize all
not a direct part of its
small elite Bourgeois
upper class oligarchy
of Diamond Empires &
oil Dynasties &Steel Legacies,
& Soda Companies, & Fast Food Chains,
Giant Super Markets, & IKEA house-ware,
Automobile Sales & Repair Mechanics,
Energy Utilities, Telephone Incorporated,
Chips & Dips & Hallmark Quips
The list goes on, forever spiraling outward
Away from the sanctum of spirituality
Farther traveling, distance subsumes honest facades
Lizard beings, ecosystems burning,
triangular unilateral power struggles
slaves from animals pure in the eye
freedom birthed from slaves, slight of the mind
Freedom crushed by the vultures, perched upon thy heart.
Giving away to false monies, movies that sell
Sex building lies, deceitful redirection
caused by powerful commodity chains
And it all goes back to the end.
Though, in the heart of the Empire
Zion grows anew ---
Though it has been growing all along.
Only now is it starting to
coalesce & be drawn together
through The Holy Spirit &
the will of God, Jah, Allah,
The history of the universe
manifesting itself in humanity
here & now – in the faces,
minds & hearts of over six billion
souls crying for redemption & freedom,
all following the ways of
true enlightenment &
spiritual awakenings of truth ---
all this Zion in the heart of Babylon,
People among us give Credence
To wealth, power, and entertainment
While pure landscapes lose meaning
Forgotten perches where endangered, now extinct
Ravens lived in vitality, communicating
Within a collective, one of unbias.
Nature procures, it plays the part of the mother
Gaia gives renewal to all things
Yet ours is a society of lost memory
One in which the sun will forever keep secret
the faded landscape that was.
