Remembrance of Things Past

 Memory shimmers when I touch
Delicate ripples caressing misty sighs
Bubbles rise up, sights, sounds
Whisper to me in the blissful silence

The colour green appears to me
Fields and skies no more to be
Instinct and impulse side by side
Tiny regrets sing as they glide

The colour red envelops me
Passionate life is what I see
Touches and winks, blazing light
Losing myself, no wrong nor right

The colour white arises here
A vision of purity, that is clear
I see good deeds, and happy shades
As I walk through a nostalgic haze

The colour blue is last to come
Painful sorrow matched by none
Weeping, a babe before the world
The bubbles pop and are unfurled.
