I am a star on a rainy night
hidden behind the clouds

I am the wind after a hurricane
wiping your tears yet unnoticed

I am a vine on a barren land
searching for a tree to climb

I am a pond next to a lake
polluted and drained

I am a needle in a haystack �
no one gives a damn about

I am an art without a muse
empty from inside out

I am a story without an author
waiting to be told �

I saw this poem in my competition thread, and I'm very glad that you posted it. I love the short, gentle nature of the strophes, I think this works very well for the tone of the poem rather than having lots of lines together. The question that we are left lingering with at the end I think is a very worthy one. I like the way that you interacted with the reader there, drew us in.
