'Scammer'? If you mean a confidence trickster or one who obtains money with false pretences (such as online approaches) I would be uncomfortable to be involved. I would certainly never let that person (no one in fact outside family) know private bank details.

Historically some confidence tricksters have been attractive men who use charm to take in especially the opposite sex. (I have known of one such man in England who got involved with a woman work colleague of mine, ended up inducing her to pay for meals and a car for him and behaved stalkingly when she ended the relationship which had graduated friend-boyfriend-fiancé - he proposed to her and she accepted. She had to ask for police help against the harassment and send letters against him through a lawyer. Poignantly the woman, who was quite attractive, was then aged 38-39 at the time of the involvement and had become excited at the prospect of marrying at 40, before things turned bitter. As it was in 1989, no part of the involvement was online.)

If a woman approached me who was into these deceptive practices with other people's money, I would drop them. I understand if you met that person before this came to light and was getting quite fond even enamoured of them there would be some agony but think of the long term. Think of it this way - if such a person can be like that when they are ostensibly friendly even courting you, what spouse would they make if you married them? I would not want to live with an unrepentant thief and fraud whose behaviour could even lead to me being apprehended as an accomplice.

Pray for wisdom and protection, get practical help (family, friends, police).

About the poem, I say it captures the dilemma many women go through when a man they (at least feel) have fallen for turns out to be dishonest in such a way, hence my 'Like'. You would not be the first woman to be in that situation, I have already mentioned someone I do know that has been so affected.
