A five year old brought 30 bags of heroin to school...          
    It was in his book bag          
Back to school night...          
A class with thirty little names on the desks          
     Seven parents were in attendance          
Most were very young mothers, aunts or grandmothers          
Only two men found time or cared to be there              
Fifteen educators for grades K thru second          
     none of color          
A father cursed out his son ...          
     a 2nd grader for not doing his homework...          
Was the father sure his son understood the material          
When was the last time he sat with him          
     talked to him          
     lead by example...          
Don't tell me to be on time for the free breakfast...      
Home at our kitchen table is where the day always starts         
Food for the body belongs to me          
Food for the mind/soul ...          
     In part belongs to you        
Stimulate the young mind I bring you       
Some had to be reminded that school opens at 7:45 am          
They needed to be told to not leave children unattended          
Note: the number of registered pedophile near is 334          
         
The curriculum is college prep            
That in itself should have had your attention...          
It also means that this journey should have started at home ...          
         
My first reaction was to run...          
To take mine and find a safe place where I could regroup but...          
I decided to fight ...          
To make a myself available to all that need  
I've resources that I shall give freely
       
Let's develop these minds so they can defend themselves          
Make their own way in the world          
 or just...
