-nobody's fool

     
She's nobody's fool      
only truth can find      
it's way behind those      
emerald eyes and into      
her stoic heart      
     
and if she can't have that      
solitude is still a happy      
place, if it's the only way      
she can remember what it's      
like to feel alive again      
     
having died too many times      
in the past for the happiness      
of others, it's her turn to live      
like tomorrow's hers to rediscover      
that she's much more than just      
an object with a pretty face      
     
sometimes we must walk our path      
alone, until we find a hand or      
smile that makes us feel like    
we've finally come home; a place      
to get lost in the reverie we've      
always dreamed we deserve
