the honesty of fire
i would sleep through this entire life
if i could.
the orange hue on my face can tell no lie.
they'll call it arson, i'm sure.
i saw pareidolia last night
in the stucco ceiling of some apartment i have never seen.
i see a small pool of black venom.
i see a wooden cutting board on formica.
my world of heaven.
dreaming is much better
than being awake.
the honesty of fire
is assuring.
consuming.
comfort in oblivion.
in the arms of nothingness.
all of it.
everything.
perpetuity.
i will need a name.
if i could.
the orange hue on my face can tell no lie.
they'll call it arson, i'm sure.
i saw pareidolia last night
in the stucco ceiling of some apartment i have never seen.
i see a small pool of black venom.
i see a wooden cutting board on formica.
my world of heaven.
dreaming is much better
than being awake.
the honesty of fire
is assuring.
consuming.
comfort in oblivion.
in the arms of nothingness.
all of it.
everything.
perpetuity.
i will need a name.
