The Scary Unknown
Comfort sounds delicious,
Cozy and secure.
Important for little children,
Please let go when you're mature.
See, comfort is a prison
We choose to be locked in.
Surrounded by only things we know,
Trapped and unable to grow.
Let's free ourselves and those we love,
Break away from our chains;
Take some risks, open our minds,
A gift to ourselves and humankind.

You never gain more strength, improve on your talents /skills unless you put yourself outside of your comfort zone! Well said Sara..loved the flow of the expression!

Thank you! Tired of close-minded people who refuse to step outside themselves and consider any other perspectives! I've been thinking a lot about the security that I provide my children and while I believe that to be very important when they are small, I want to make sure they are exposed to lots of different people in varying situations and cultures so as they get older they are not uncomfortable around people who are different from them.
