Consider If You Would
Consider If you would, the state of mind you are feeling at this
moment. There are many different answers, but a singular question.
Consider
it if you would, by asking if it would change if you spilled a drink?
If your dog knocked over a trash bin in your room? If a man murdered
that same dog in front of your eyes? And what would it change to?
Anger, Anger, Rage respectively would be the likely answers. But what
type of anger? What type of rage?
Consider if you would, what
type of change is it? Anger at oneself? To blame yourself for spilling
that drink, or allowing your dog to be killed? Anger at another, the
dog for spilling the drink, the man for killing the dog? Or...pure,
unbridled rage at all three prospects? What do these mean? Why am I
asking these questions?
Consider if you would, the man who
killed your dog. Was it murder in his eyes? Or justifiable cause? Is
everything warranting a courtroom appearance?
Consider if you
would, the judge. Who does he rule in favor of? Who makes more sense,
what point is more acceptable? . Maybe nothing goes your way, and he
gets away with killing that dog, or he goes to jail for something
justifiable.
Consider if you would, that the justice system does
not include common sense, just set rules. Even if the case in unique,
it may be no different than any other case. Maybe it is treated as
such. You know, a man who killed 21 people but is only figured to have
"accidently" killed one will do less time than a driver who was
involved in a car accident with 3 drunks, which killed the trio.
Perhaps that is justice, in another person's eyes.
Now, consider
if you would, a worldwide movement to administer vigilante justice. An
eye for an eye, life for a life, dog for a dog. Justify your reasoning
for the self-administered sentence, and be cleared of all wrongdoing.
Then, talk to your mannequins when the world is empty, and blood is the
only color that you are familiar with.
Why did I ask all of
these questions? Why did I make all of these statements? Simply to
prove a point. You could consider all of these things, waste all of
your time pondering endless responses and making contradictions to all
of the conclusions you come up with. Or, you could the simply, and most
important thing:
Consider if you would, perspectives.
