Too young to
know better..
In a rush to
be together...
Should have
waited awhile
Seems like years
since I smiled.

Should have known
myself first...
Of the wants
I would thirst.
Now feeling
caged inside
Reason for the
tears that I cry.

Having given
all of myself..
Leaving nothing
on the shelf..
No return have
I gained..
I feel so empty
and drained.
