Paternal Problems
Stained dishes sprawled across the counter
Muddy shoes intrudes on what was once clean
The television on with what pleases him
A sloth king who runs this household
Whilst a fair lady trails behind to right his wrongs
From the clothes thrown on the bed
To the dirty glasses left behind by his friends
He shouts and bellows whilst she cooks and cleans
This selfish beast has no mercy
A sinister shade in his eyes tell us
He lives on not a heart but evil
His duties laid out for her
Enforced with brutality
And he sits and sips her tea
And with a cry of disgust
He spills her efforts down the sink
This is the man who has enslaved my mother
This is the man who I will tolerate no longer
Muddy shoes intrudes on what was once clean
The television on with what pleases him
A sloth king who runs this household
Whilst a fair lady trails behind to right his wrongs
From the clothes thrown on the bed
To the dirty glasses left behind by his friends
He shouts and bellows whilst she cooks and cleans
This selfish beast has no mercy
A sinister shade in his eyes tell us
He lives on not a heart but evil
His duties laid out for her
Enforced with brutality
And he sits and sips her tea
And with a cry of disgust
He spills her efforts down the sink
This is the man who has enslaved my mother
This is the man who I will tolerate no longer
