French Girl's from the 1960's

Picture this
sitting in your living room
I'm in the corner
with the gold disco ball
I can hear
my favorite record of yours playing
French girls
from the 1960's

You've got
your music stuff set up
keys and synthesizers
like I'm on a spaceship
I can taste
cheap champagne on my lips
I've got my face on
and you've got your camera out

but what happens when the film runs out
the records stops? the disco ball falls?
the French girls all go home
will I wake up alone?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

Picture this
I'm naked in your bed now
waiting for you
it's like I'm in a coma
waiting for you
call me sleeping beauty
I know you'll come for me
like  your sworn duty

but I wake up
the sun is on my body
and you never came
don't you still want me?
I'm the same girl
I'm in the same skin
if I haven't changed
why didn't you come in?

Picture this
sitting in your living room
I'm in the corner
with the gold disco ball
I can hear
my favorite record of yours playing
French girls
from the 1960's

You've got

I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
